By accessing or using the GWRank service ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

GWRank is a statistics tracking and community platform for Guild Wars players. The Service provides:

  • Player and guild profile management
  • Match and tournament result tracking
  • ELO rating calculations and rankings
  • Character and profession information
  • Community features including comments and discussions
  • Discord bot integration for data import

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your Discord password and account
  • Promptly update your information as needed
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must:

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not share your password with any third party
  • Not allow any third party to use your account

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate Laws: Engage in any conduct that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Impersonate: Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation with any person
  • Harass: Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Spam: Transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or bulk messaging
  • Interfere: Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Inject: Attempt to inject harmful code, viruses, or any destructive elements
  • Scrape: Automatically extract data from the Service without permission
  • Cheat: Manipulate match results, submit false data, or otherwise gaming the rating system

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Service Ownership

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GWRank and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce that content as part of the Service.

6. User-Generated Content

6.1 Comments and Claims

The Service allows users to submit comments and character claims. You agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for the content you post
  • You have the right to submit the content you post
  • Your content does not violate these terms
  • Claims regarding in-game characters must be truthful and accurate

6.2 Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content that violates these terms or is otherwise harmful, at our sole discretion.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • Discord: For authentication and data import via bot
  • Twitch: For streamer profile links

7.2 Third-Party Terms

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.

8. Guild Wars Content

8.1 Game Information

The Service uses data related to the Guild Wars game, which is a trademark of ArenaNet/NCSOFT. This Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ArenaNet or NCSOFT.

8.2 Character Data

Character and player data displayed on the Service may be submitted by users. We rely on users to provide accurate information and reserve the right to verify and moderate character claims.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any defects in the Service will be corrected

9.2 GWR and Statistics

GWR ratings and statistical calculations are provided for informational purposes only. They may contain errors and should not be used for official competitive purposes unless specified.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GWRank shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Damages from any third-party conduct or content

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (if any).

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GWRank and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including:

  • Breach of these Terms of Service
  • Suspicion of fraudulent or abusive activity
  • Prolonged inactivity (at our discretion)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

13. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which GWRank operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and GWRank regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements relating to the Service.
